Dad Breakfast

Today is my son's sixth birthday. On each of my kids birthdays I take them down to City Club of Buckhead for breakfast, it's our special thing together. This morning Samuel and I rode in the car for a total of 70 minutes so we could enjoy a 40-minute breakfast. It seems crazy, but the kids look forward to it, and it's our special thing. This morning I just kept thinking, "this is the only time I'll sit across from my boy on the morning of his sixth birthday. There is no place I would rather be."

I hope for many more special times with each of my kids.
