First time I’ve asked you for anything

TL;DR: We launch TogetherLetters on Product Hunt Wednesday morning. The most helpful thing you can do today is take five minutes to create a free Product Hunt account at producthunt.com (Google or email sign-in). I’ll send the link Wednesday and you can pop over and leave honest feedback. This is the first ask I’ve ever made on this blog, and the only one I’ll make this year. No problem if it’s a no.

If you’ve been reading my stuff for a while, an email like this is probably not what you signed up for. You came here for ideas about leadership and marketing and whatever else has been rattling around in my head, not for an ask from me.

I’ve been writing since 2005, and across hundreds of posts I’ve never once asked any of you to do anything (that I can recall). Today is the first time I’m breaking that.

For the last couple of years, my friend Sanjay and I have been quietly building a product called TogetherLetters. You set up a group (your family, your closest friends, your old college crew, your co-workers, whoever), everyone gives in a short update, and we bundle them into one easy-to-read newsletter that goes back out to the whole group. It’s the group newsletter everyone actually reads, because it’s not noise, and it avoids the mess of social media. It’s the people you actually love hearing from.

It’s free for groups of ten and under. If you want to spin one up at togetherletters.com before Wednesday, it takes about two minutes.

My ask is small: five minutes today setting up a Product Hunt account (producthunt.com), a couple minutes Wednesday giving a review of TogetherLetters. The kind of feedback that helps most is honest, not cheerleading. What works, what’s missing, what you’d want to see. That’s also what helps other families figure out if TogetherLetters is for them.

If you can’t, or you’d rather not, no problem. I’m not going to chase you. This is the only ask I’ll make all year.

One last thing while I have you. I’ve been quiet here for a stretch, and I’ve been missing it. I’m planning to start writing more again soon. Glad you’re still here for it.

Thanks for reading.

Adam
