Barnabas was my favorite Bible character during my formative years. He wasn’t the main guy but was important enough to merit a few mentions in the best-selling book of all time, and that ain’t bad. What I have always loved about Barnabas is what his name means, “son of encouragement.” I love that idea, a man that is marked by his encouragement of others.

Whatever I do, wherever I go, my hope is that I can be a person that encourages others toward being the best version of themselves.
