As much as I obsess about productivity, I confess I can still procrastinate. I realize that procrastination is insanely unproductive, but it seems like a battle I have to fight over and over. Often when I feel like I want to put something off, I tell myself to just “give it two minutes.”
If you think about it, it’s the first two minutes that are the hardest. I figure if I can get through the first two minutes I’ll have the momentum I need to keep going.
Productivity is about momentum, and momentum has to start somewhere. Give a tough task two minutes; I bet you will go a lot longer than that and get a lot more done.
