We often think about leadership as growing, adding, and expanding. But, to get there, we have first to cut out what isn’t necessary for us and our teams.

The 80/20 rule, also known as the Pareto Principle, is the concept in business and economics that roughly 80% of effects come from 20% of causes. If 20% of what we do is producing 80% of our results, a leaders, we have to hack away at the 80% of activity that is underperforming.
